In September 1971, Janice was hired to shoot the pilot for "The Price Is Right" with Bob Barker. She now holds the world's record for having taped over 5,000 one-hour game shows on the longest-running game show in the history of television.Janice's career as an entertainer has included working as a dancer, model, singer, actress and game show/TV show hostess. As an actress, she worked for Orson Welles in his last film "The Other Side of the Wind," with such notables as Dennis Hopper, John Huston, Peter Bogdanovich, and other famous stars. She also played opposite Elliot Gould in the film "I Love My Wife."
Janice appeared in many episodic TV series, such as "Ironside," "Courtship of Eddie's Father," and "Lucas Tanner," and she performed on a number of variety shows including "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In," "Bob Hope Specials," and "The Sonny and Cher Show." When Goldie Hawn left "Laugh-In," Janice took over her position. Janice also hosted the weekly half-hour talk show "Breaking In."
Janice is the author of "Husband, Lover, Spy," a dramatic true story and "New York Times" bestseller about the mysterious disappearance of her former husband Fritz Stammberger who vanished near the borders of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Russia in 1975.
Janice is also the co-founder of the Hollywood Discovery Awards(tm) and Hollywood Film Festival(tm) which are dedicated to bridging the gap between Hollywood and the global entertainment community by discovering talented emerging independent filmmakers and storytellers.
