Response to Ref 368. I wondered where in the world it was summer. Are you a touch over weight? Walking and squats are great for the legs and butt. Look for an exercise book that spotlights those areas. For the colors and to thin your face read my book "Grow Young," color is so important to give us a thin look and to draw attention to features that we want others to focus on.

Response to Ref 371. Sarah, You still have some growing to do and your face will change a bit more...wait. Be natural with a little light lip gloss, keep your skin healthy with a good diet and lots of sleep. A movie star would use that birthmark and put a bit of pencil on it to accentuate it (a beauty mark).

Response to Ref 372. Ivory, you have many beautiful assets. Try a light blue or gray eye shadow and eyeliner, not too dark to overpower your own eye color.

Response to Ref 374. Erin, Cool natural tones, soft beige or dusky mauve will give you a pretty effect. Choose lip colors of a mauvey brown or rose.

Ref 375. I am an 18 year old female in my first year of university. I like to look good but i'm having some troubles. I have olive skin, an oval face, huge green veins the show through my face, and big under eye dicoleration. What can I use on my face to cover them up and still look natural.
Response to Ref 375. Try a touch of purple toner over the vein to soften the green color. Then apply your foundation gently over that area. Use a light beige under eye cover up for your dark circles.

Ref 376. I have really oily skin and acne. I can't even go to school for 4 hours and my face if a greece ball. Is there a certain soap or medication I could us to soak up the shine? Also I have been on Retin-A for about 2 years and I am still not cleared up.
Response to Ref 376. Soaps strip the skin of water and will leave the skin feeling and looking oily. Blot the oily areas gently to remove the excess oil. Why have you used Retin-A for 2 years?

Response to Ref 377. TV makeup is very heavy and doesn't look very good off screen. Don't wear green eyeliner or shadow that is brighter than your own eye color. No one will see your eye color.

Response to Ref 378. Hair and nails grow faster in the spring. You must try the foundation on in natural light to get a match. Try applying a peach color to the entire eyelid and line the eyes with a brown liner.

I am an Italian with dark hair. The past few years I have been a blond and I love it, My hair is toned down to the lightest possible which darkens in a couple of weeks to sort of an orangy brown then every couple of months I put blond highlights all over. Isn't there any way so when you lift the color it wont darken so much . The most beautiful blonds are in Italy, and there hair is in great condition. Ps can you tell us who colors Jenny Mcarthys hair.
Response to Ref 380. Jenny, Orange toned hair will cast a yellow color on to your skin. Find a hair colorist.

Response to Ref 391. The smoky look, is to apply black eye shadow next to the lash line, using as little eye shadow as possible to give a smoky effect. Blend the shadow up to the crease using a light stroke. Apply beige eye shadow under the eyebrows and down to the crease of the eyelids. Use black mascara.

Anyway to get to the point I was wondering if you had any make up tips to help reduce the look of acne and help bring out my small blue eyes with the right colors. Response to Ref 399. It is best to clear the acne, how often do you breakout and where on your face does this happen? To enlarge a small eye, apply eyeliner in a sweeping stroke from the middle of the eyelid out past the outer portion of the corner of the eye. Use a thin line on the lower lashes from the middle of the eye out past the outer corner. Do not bring the two eye liners together at the corner of the eye. Try a charcoal color.

Response to Ref 400. Apply the foundation in a thin coat and then pat the tiniest bit of foundation on any spot that needs extra coverage.

I am a 39 year old woman who suffered from Graves Disease a number of years ago. As a result, my eyes bulge somewhat, with one eye worse than the other. I also wear glasses. Do you have any eye make up tips to 1) minimize the bulging and make my eyes look smaller and 2) minimize the difference between the 2? I am a fair skinned brunette with hazel eyes. Any suggestion are appreciated.
Response to Ref 405. Shade with a brown or deep plum eye shadow. Apply the darkest color close to the lash line and fade gradually up to the brow bone. Use matte-finish shadows. Don't round the brows, give them a slight arch. Color the larger eye a touch darker than the smaller one.

I am twenty and everyone thinks I have a great face and body and should consider modelling. My problem is that as a child I used some very harsh creams and stayed out in the sun for long, as a result the skin areas around my forehead and cheek bones were literally fried and now look greenish and greatly discolored. For fear of worsen them I haven't tried anything on them yet. Please recommend something as they look really horrible.

Response to Ref 408. I do have an enzyme mask that has helped even out the skin texture and color. Look on my skin care web page for more information. Most of that problem can be covered with makeup.

Response to Ref 414. Claudia, Cleanse your skin morning and night, gently with a cleanser for oily skin. Blot the oil from the oily areas during the day, do not apply moisture cream to these areas.

i just got the chicken pox and it turned into scabs, then the scabs fell out and it left dark brown marks!! and there's a big pink one on my cheek!! the doctor said not to put on cover up cause it might affect it and it'll be permanent. a week has passed already and it's still there! i've been putting on vitamin E oil on it though. Response to Ref 419. Kathy, I think freckles are great. Choose your foundation carefully, it needs to be close to the color of the freckles in order to blend all the skin tone.

I have some scattered freckles on my nose and cheeks that i think are unattrative and since i already have a clear complexion i want to get rid of them, i've heard that there are freckle-remover creams and just recently out, freckle laser light thereopy. Response to Ref 425. Angel, for fuller lips use two shades of lip color. Outline slightly outside the lip line with the darker lipstick and fill in with the lighter colored lipstick blending it up to the dark lip line. A gloss will give your lips more volume.

Response to Ref 427. Try to find the cause of the redness. Have the capillaries expanded there? Do your cheeks get red after eating or drinking stimulating foods? Do they become red because of your feelings? Let me know.

Ref 429. Hello Gloria, I am 18 years old and thinking about doing some small-time modeling to get extra spending money in college. This isn't really a makeup question, but I figured it's worth a shot. Anyway, I keep myself in good shape and I've been told I have pretty facial features. The catch is, I have to wear very thick glasses. Contacts are not an option for me; my eyes developed incredible intolerance to them after five years of over-wear; and my vision without corrective lenses is so limited that I am essentially blind. Is it possible to model if you're blind? Or, as an alternative, would agencies let me shoot pictures and do fashion shows in my glasses, considering that the lenses are around 1/3 of an inch thick? I won't be heartbroken if my vision prevents me from modeling, but extra money is always good...and the phrase "I model on the side" has a nice ring to it. 8-)

Response to Ref 429. Jennifer, I asked a photographer how some models got that wide eyed look. He said a lot of them wear glasses and can't see without them. When they sit for a shot they don't wear their glasses and are wide eyed trying to see.

Response to Ref 431. You have had your first insight into the fact that color can make you look old. It is so important to find your best colors and it takes time and a little work to do that. Are you a warm skin tone or a cool tone? Which everyone wear the colors that are warm or cool.
